1971 John Cook creates a two station petroleum jobbership in Ardmore, Oklahoma. 1973 Company is incorporated and named Petroleum Wholesale, Inc. 1979 Petroleum Wholesale acquires Clear Creek Petroleum based in Colorado expanding its presence to three states. 1980 Already servicing 40 retail gasoline stations, Petroleum Wholesale acquires a 50-station Diamond Shamrock jobbership in Houston, Texas bringing the total to 90 stations. 1980 Petroleum Wholesale moves its base of operation to Houston, Texas. 1987 Sun Development, Inc is formed as a real estate development company. 1995 Petroleum Wholesale and Mobil Oil enter into an agreement to bring the Mobil brand back to the Houston market. In the transaction Petroleum Wholesale acquires Mobil’s Houston pipeline terminal and is granted exclusive fuel marketing rights in the Houston area. 2003 Petroleum Wholesale and Sun Development convert to limited partnerships and the names are changed to Petroleum Wholesale L.P. and Sun Development L.P., respectively. John Cook and his immediate family members continue to own 100% of the companies. 2004 Petroleum Wholesale purchased distribution rights and several retail locations from large distributor Tri-Valley Distributing, Inc based in Heber City, Utah , thus expanding its presence to include Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Wyoming and California 2004 Petroleum Wholesale acquires assets of Holt Oil Company based in St. George, Utah. This purchase includes branded fuel distribution, four retail outlets and two bulk plants. The purchase of the bulk plants marks the entry into the lubrication, grease and bulk fuel distribution. 2005 Petroleum Wholesale acquires assets of Avenue Fuels based in Corsicana, Texas. This acquisition includes branded retail and distribution along the I-45 corridor of Texas. 2005 Petroleum Wholesale acquires assets of Sperry Oil Company in Delta, Utah expanding its operation of bulk plants and branded distribution in central Utah. 2005 Petroleum Wholesale acquires assets of Terry Oil Company based in Richfield, Utah. Present Petroleum Wholesale continues to expand its presence in the western region of the country as well as its home in Texas and southwest.
