About the Event
Over the past 17 years, a special group of runners has helped make the “Sunmart Texas Trails Endurance Runs, 50 Mile and 50K Race,” not only the largest Ultra event, but the largest Women’s Ultra event in the United States. Because of your participation & thoughtful comments we are anticipating the 2007 event to be the best ever. Sunmart cordially invites you to join us at scenic Huntsville State Park, to once again be part of the Best Ultra event in the United States. This year because Sunmart has earned the reputation as the best ultra event in the United States due to our excellent venue, sponsorship and runner support; the I.A.U. (International Association for Ultrarunners) has elected to make this Sunmart Texas Trail Endurance Runs the first ever IAU Trail World Challenge. We expect to have many world class runners and running teams both men and women from the Pacific Rim, European Countries as well as top runners from South America and the United States.

The 50M Event: 7:00 AM (12-hour limit)
The 50K Event: 7:45 AM (11 1/4-hour limit)

Entry Fees
The entry fee for either race is $80 before November 13th, 2007.
After November 12th, 2007, the entry fee increases to $90.

Registration Deadlines
REGISTER AT PACKET PICKUP ON DEC 7TH, 11AM-6:30PM AT THE SHERATON NORTH (15700 JFK Blvd., Houston, Texas/281-442-5100; near Bush Intercontinental Airport). CASH OR CHECK ONLY (PAYABLE TO SUNMART). SOMEONE CAN REGISTER FOR YOU OR PICKUP YOUR PACKET BUT WE MUST HAVE A SIGNED LETTER GIVING THE SECOND PARTY PERMISSION TO DO SO FOR YOU. THERE IS NO RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP - PLAN ACCORDINGLY.
All registrants must be 18 or over on race day.
Please remember that there will be NO race day registrations.

Premiums for Participants
All participants receive a premium bag at the packet pick-up with custom Sunmart items, race shirt, embroidered cap, running bag, race program,rain poncho, and many other goodies.

Premiums for Finishers
All finishers will receive an exclusive Sunmart Finisher's Medal and his/her choice of a Tyvek jacket or an afghan blanket.
Finishers will also have the option to purchase an additional jacket or afghan for $50.

Pre-Race Pasta Dinner and Race Day Food & Refreshments
The pre-race pasta dinner will be served on Friday, December 7 from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM . Sheraton North Houston at George Bush Intercontinental 15700 John F. Kennedy Blvd. Houston, Texas 77032. Guests or non-race participants are welcome to join us at $10 per person. A few years ago we were fortunate to have the legendary Arthur Lydiard as our guest speaker during the pre-race banquet.
The race day refreshments begin with breakfast for race participants, provided at the park near the start/finish area.
During the race, fully stocked aid stations and restroom facilities will be positioned throughout the course.
Upon completion of the race, participants can enjoy a post-race barbeque in the tents near the start/finish area.
Guests or non-race participants are welcome to enjoy breakfast or the post-race barbeque for $10 per person.

Entry Packet and Confirmation
After officially entering the race, all registrants will receive an entry packet by mail confirming your registration. The packet will contain additional information about the race. The information is also available at www.petroleumwholesale.com or www.rogersoler.com for your convenience. If you do not receive your entry packet within 4 weeks after registering, contact the race director by e-mail (patti@rogersoler.com ) as soon as possible.

Sponsors and Giving Back to Benefit the Community
This year’s 17th annual event is proudly sponsored by Mr. John Cook of Petroleum Wholesale (Sunmart), Race Director Roger Soler of Roger Soler's Sports, Daniel Miller of Sunmart, Chevron and Texaco.
As in past years, Sunmart will continue to donate $5 for each race entry to The Alzheimer's Association.
In addition, a separate donation will be made to benefit the DePelchin Children's Center.
Race registrants may also donate $10 to support the U.S. Ultra-Running Team.
